Call from a Mobile or Land Line for Emergency Assistance.(Calls are free of charge)
The operator handling your call will ask which service you require and you will be connected to the service requested. Give details of the incident including the number you are calling from and the location.Stay as calm as possible and answer the questions asked by the call handler. If more than one service is required the call handler will manage this.
The European Emergency number 112 will also work throughout the United Kingdom
Other emergency services can also be requested using 999. Requests for
- Lifeboat (RNLI)
- Mountain Rescue
- Lowland Rescue
- Cave Rescue
- Mine Rescue
- Bomb Disposal (HM Forces) will be handled through the 999 procedures.
Remember it is an offence to make malicious calls to 999 or 112
