Projects We Support
We aim to support the wider work of The Church of Scotland and charitable organisations throughout the year. We also seek to provide continuing promotion and financial benefit to projects we have supported for a number of years.
The articles below illustrate some of the beneficiaries.

Operation San Andres

Operación San Andrés (OSA) exists to provide holistic aid to the indigent and under served people of Collique, Peru, a shantytown on the outskirts of Lima.

Those who partner with OSA share the vision of demonstrating Christian love and compassion in practical ways to the marginalised people of Peru.

Each year the congregational board organises a fundraising event and all the proceeds are sent to OSA.

Self Help Africa

At the end of each Harvest Thanksgiving Service, we hold an auction of all items donated.

The proceeds are sent to Self Help Africa. It seems fitting that a predominantly farming community are raising money for Farming Communities in Africa.

  •   £11 will buy a bag of locally produced quality seed
  •   £50 will buy a treadle pump to irrigate a farmer's crops
  •   £90 will help to plant over 700 mixed tree seedlings.

A relatively small amount by our standards

World Mission

The Church of Scotland World Mission

When the Church  ‘Missionary Partners’ were in Nepal , the Congregational Board made a commitment to send money to World Mission in Nepal each year.

Usually a function is held to raise the funds. At that time £30 was enough to build a house for a family. Now the money is sent to continue the work of the Church of Scotland in Nepal.
